“Buy Pridnestrovian!”: How much have been done? What’s coming next?

Round-table talk summarizing the results of this year “Buy Pridnestrovian!” project took place yesterday on 29th of November in the CCI.

Among participants were Representatives of the CCI as the project implementer, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development, cities and districts public organizations and of course participants and residents of the project.

Eight trade fairs, tastings in Tiraspol, Bendery, Grigoriopol, three roundtable discussions were held this year as part of the project. The number of “Buy Pridnestrovian!” residents has been increased due to trade enterprises that decorated their shops with the project brand mark. The corporate identity of the project has been updated and a brand book was created.

An average of 75 enterprises, companies, self-employed businessmen and peasant farms took part in each fair.  More than 25 thousand pridnestrovians and guests of our republic visited trade fairs that is 5 thousand people higher compared to the last year.

Sales of products in fairs amounted to 2,6 million roubles. The average check per customer was 223 roubles that is 1.9 times higher compared to 2017 figures. It demonstrates that domestic goods presented at the trade fair are much-in-demand.

This fact is confirmed by the participants of trade fairs. During the period of the “Buy Pridnestrovian!” project brand recognition and sales volume of most producers have increased.

What’s coming next?

More fairs – 11– are going to be hold next year!

Of course, trade fairs are going to be hold in all cities of our country, also thematic fairs will be added.

Series of trade dialogues and tastings in trade networks are going to be continued. The project will not pass by the art world: organizers also are planning to hold photography, paintings and drawings contest telling about local producers and their goods.

The research will be continued to evaluate the project impact on consumer demand.

During fairs of the 2018 projects surveys visitors were conducted. The analysis of the data received provides basic conclusion about progress of the project.  Main criterion for this is whether pridnistrovians attitude to the local goods is changed, whether consumers pay attention to the county of manufacture and whether they choose pridnestrovian goods. The results of this research later will be posted on our web-site.
