Delegation of the World Bank visited the Government

Alexandr Martinov, Chair of the Government of Transnistria, received a delegation of World Bank. On the meeting also there were Vice prime ministers – Alevtina Slinchenko, Alexei Zurkan, Head of Department  for Foreign Countries and International Organizations of  MFA – Alexandr Honizki, Head of the State Service of Statistics – Natalia Sluchinskaya, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Yuri Ganin.

“Cooperation between The World Bank and PMR is always constructive and useful for economy of Transnistria for many years”,- Alexandr Martinov greeted the delegation.

During the dialogs they said on measures to support the development of the Transnistrian economy, the need for reforms in the budget sector, statistics on public finances.

“We are interested in continuing conditions of the private sector, the list of register regulating documents. The government is actively working to create a roadmap for improving the business environment. Those practices, which are offered by the World Bank, will be useful to us”,-said the Chair of the Government.

The Permanent Representative of the World Bank in the Republic of Moldova Alexander Kremer expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome.

“The World Bank is not a political organization. Our job is to improve people’s lives”, -Alexander Kremer said.

Within a framework of the meeting the prospects and directions for further cooperation were discussed.
